VNS Mail Server – Email Client Configuration

This guide helps you set up your email account hosted with VNS Mail Server on Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, mobile devices, and other IMAP/SMTP clients.

Most modern email clients support Auto-Configuration (Auto-Discover). In many cases, you only need to enter your email address and password, and the correct server settings will be detected automatically.

Manual Configuration (IMAP + SMTP over SSL)

If your client does not auto-configure, or if you prefer to set up manually, use the parameters below.

Email Address Your full email address (example: user@yourdomain.com)
Username Your full email address (same as above)
Password Your mailbox password
Incoming (IMAP) Server Host: imap.vns.ae
Port: 993
Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Normal Password
Outgoing (SMTP) Server Host: smtp.vns.ae
Port: 465
Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Normal Password (SMTP auth required)
Ensure that SMTP authentication is enabled and that you use the same username/password as your mailbox. If your client asks for “encryption”, choose SSL/TLS for both IMAP and SMTP.

Quick Reference

IMAP Host: imap.vns.ae IMAP Port: 993 IMAP Security: SSL/TLS
SMTP Host: smtp.vns.ae SMTP Port: 465 SMTP Security: SSL/TLS

General Setup Tips

  • Use your full email address as the username in both IMAP and SMTP.
  • If your client offers “IMAP” vs “POP3”, select IMAP (recommended).
  • If you recently changed your password, update it in all devices and apps.
